This year's keynote speakers will be William H. Gates, Sr, Co-Chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon. The plenary session, sponsored by FTI Healthcare, will also include Healthcare Reform Legislation Essentials and the Year in Review. The programs' faculty of leading private practitioners, in-house counsel, and government representatives will cover a broad range of health law topics, and any legal implications of healthcare reform, in the areas of fraud and abuse, antitrust, tax, hospital issues, payor and plan issues, physician issues, business transactions, life sciences, and reimbursement. Program schedule is online or view the full program brochure for all the events being held at the Annual Meeting.
In response to many requests from our members, AHLA is going green for our in-person programs. We are trying to reduce the amount of paper we use at our programs. This is both an effort at responsible environmental conservation, and an effort to increase the timeliness of the materials provided to our attendees.
We will not automatically be printing binders for everyone. All materials will be available on a website prior to the program and handed out on CD at the program. For those who still do want the binder they will be available for an additional fee; please order on the registration form.
